Finished painting my engine cover today... I think it turned out pretty well

What kind of primer and paint did you use? Any sanding or other prep work?

I used Rustolem engine primer (they didn't have any Duplicolor engine primer)...and then I used black/red Dulpicolor engine enamel...I used 600 grit sandpaper and lightly sanded the engine cover to get any imperfections and plastic (seems, edges, scratches, etc) off...then I sanded the chrome emblem w/ 600 also to get the "chrome" off...used 3 coats of primer/paint on each...pretty simple...took about 3.5 hrs from start to finish...
