Hey Alaron, Did you get a chance to test fit the rims before you bought them? Where I live, there is no shops that would do that so research and crossing your fingers in hopes it would fit is the only way of doing this.Alaron wrote:Alaron / 08 Coupe / 18x9.5 +24 Offset / Saleen S series (rep) / Stock / - Tires are TOYO FZ4's (245-40-18)
The Calculations notwithstanding Dangeris, The wheels barely stick out over three quarters of an inch. I totally agree that 2" would be ridiculous and am glad its not so. .75 inches is just aggressive enough for me without being too obnoxious.
Yes I do have a specific wheel in mind and the specs that I was looking at were 18x7.5 +45 offset. Going this route, I know I wouldn't have any issues when I drop the car. Now I believe 8.5" +35 offset would be good too even with a drop but I didn't / never considered the 18 x 9.5 +35 offset unitl you posted your wheels! Thanks alot man It just makes me wonder where industry is pulling their measurements from when it says " would extend 45MM or 35MM more than stock" cuz like I said before, when I went on that online offset calculator, it said that your rim / offset would extend 45mm more than the stock. Since 25MM is 1in. 45 would be like 1.75". But looking at ur pics, they tell a different story.Alaron wrote:Hey Dangeris, It was a combination of me doing the rough calculations myself, the store assuring me that they would fit as I estimated them to ( They apparently checked the specs of the coupe before they sold it to me) and keeping my fingers crossed as I really REALLY wanted those rims for the ride . Being able to fit these wheels on the coupe, albeit rather snugly, would lead me to believe that a 9.5 +35 offset wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Don't take my word for it though. Do you have a specific wheel/tire design in mind?
