Altima 3.5 CVT Rattle - Part II

Ok everyone, after a quick straw poll, it looks like about 40% of Altima 3.5L CVT owners are hearing a transmission rattle at low speeds. Let's get a quick listing of trim level, mileage and mods for those people who are experiencing the problem. I'll start.

2008 3.5SE Sedan

6.3k miles (noise appeared at 4k, went away after transmission replacement and came back 1k miles later)

Intake, exhaust, pulley

40%? That's hardly an accurate number...

Maybe 40% that responded to the poll, but most people just skip over things they know they don't need to answer...

From a design standpoint, I'd be willing to say 1-2% at MAX are having issues globally...

I agree that 40% is probably high, but it's the best estimate we have based on the poll responses. (And poll responses are better data than gut feeling.)

If you've got better data, I'd love to see it...
