ok so i blew my engine and i need to get a new one... i figure why get the same engine.... whats the best engine i could put in it and how much would the engine cost..also can i put a 350z engine in it?

What kinda altima do you have?

Getting a 2.5L engine would probably cost you 4K. But to put a 350z engine it would cost around 10,000 if not more.

Also, what year is your altima?

The 350Z engine will not work in the altima, as the Z engine is for a RWD car - the altima is FWD.

i had a oil leak and i was taking it to get it fixed.. on the way there ran out of oil and the engine was smoking..... but can i put any other engine? and i got a 2002 altima 2.5s

You could possibly use the VQ that was produced for the 2002 altima, but in the end, it's going to cost you a ton of cash to have the swap performed...your best bet is to either get a new QR or buy a new car...

The answer is always yes, but how much are you willing to pay.

The 3.5 engine will not be a direct bolt onto your car. Lots of things will have to be modified.

Depending on your transmission, that will have to be changed. Ecu, exhaust, engine mounts, ect...

dude i have a 2002 2.5s and have nothin but problems with that year motor , because of precat causing oil problems ,your best bet is just get another 2.5 motor ,cause anything else is gonna cost alot to modify , from 4cyl to 6cyl , look for a 2006 2.5 motor with low miles used cost around 1500-2000$ then definetly change pre cat with a header, that's what i did . car runs like brand new..

I was obviously kidding.But it HAS been done.Not every AC owner is on NICO and people have to realize that.Do a simple search on cardomain.There are many people with a great deal of wealth that own cars.Good engine.
