Wow, this is one old thread....
Well, lessee. After the first round of chemo, everything looked OK for a time. Stacey had a 6-month break, to allow her to recover from the chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, her cancer count rebounded VERY fast, putting her right back where she was pre-treatment.
The doctor indicated that the tumors on her liver have reduced, but that the cancer has metastasized (spread) to the bone, primarily in her hip joints and a couple places in her back.
So, she returned to the normal course of chemo. That lasted about 6 weeks, but her platelets and white blood counts were getting too low to continue on that course of treatment.
Now she's on a different treatment - It's an even more aggressive course, which unfortunately is accompanied by more of the typical chemo side effects.
It's been a rough several months, as she has days where you'd never know she's sick, and days where she's barely able to get out of bed.
The good news is, she's still here despite the doctor's initial prognosis, and she's maintaning a kick-butt mindset.
Sorry to let you guys down - Looks like it'll be a longer battle than we thought, but we're entrenched and well-equipped for whupping this thing.
Pop in on her Z profile and say "what's up" if ya want.
Thanks Dan / Ben & the rest of ya.
