Says he spun all the way through 2nd. Could have done better if you hadn't dumped the clutch at 6 grand. Just my .02 though so...

I "dumped" the clutch at 3grand. Oklahoma's Thunder Valley Raceway is not good at all. Plus I had crapy tires. Plus the rear end I have in my car is a 4 11 gear ratio...

Still learning how to keep traction. Since even launching at low rpms creates crazy wheel spin.

I wish I had a 350Z to build up!

Anyways, not to be mean but why would some of you guys brag/post 15+ sec times? Unless maybe it were a before-after power adder comparison...

Anyways, I launch my Suburban at 1k rpm and try not to spin my 36.5" M/Ts so I can trap in under 1 min!

Still working on my 300's rebuild but the new clutch makes a huge difference I will have to figure that baby out before I'd be anywhere near competitive. I'm pretty sure I'm well under the stock ~14sec stock TT's time!

I noticed some people had lightweiight aluminum flywheels. I was wondering how these compared to stock flywheels for drag racing. It looked like the lightweight could hurt your 60 foot times, but once you launched it would make up for it? To compensate for the lightweight flywheel, can you just leave the line at higher revs to compensate?

I will let you know about fly wheel. I am having jwt fly and cluth put on next week, along with roll bar, corbeuo racing seat, 6 point harness, still hf cats, low temp thermostat, and willwood brak kit. I have hear the ligheter weight flywheel lets you reve fater, just like light weight flywheels do. I am more into road racing and autox then drag though.

Those are some nice times. What were the 4 mods? Can you run the quarter without going into overdrive?

Just had the light weight flywheel, clutch, hf cats, engine brace, racing seat, harness and cage installed. Cant say what it will do for drag time, but it is sure going to help on the track. The car revs soooooomuch faster now. And along with the rest of the exhaust, the thing sounds like an f1 now. Very cool. Hope to get a re-tune here shortly ans will let you know whp numbers. Shouldn't be to diffrent from before since the only hp thing that might have effected it is the hf cats. But I figure that probably leaned it out some, and would benefit from getting it back on the dyno.

my best time was a 13.912 @ 99.759 MPH in my pretty much stock 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5se with CVT.... which is currently the best time any altima coupe has gotten i believe (2 turbo altima coupes are on there way though, so i'm trying to enjoy my "fame" lol). i was 100% stock and right before i went to the track i unbolted the exhaust after the cat (just 2 bolts) and ran a 13.9 on stock tires, and everything 100% stock.

i got my time slip but unfortunately my friend left after i beat him (he had the cam) and i wasn't able to get a vid BUT i got the vid of me doin a 14.0 against my friend's SRT4

60 foot will make or break the ET. I've heard that every .1 of a second in the 60' accounts for .15 -.2 seconds in the overall ET.

So, being full .2 seconds faster in the 60', .5 seconds faster overall isn't surprising.

I only went a half second faster a few weeks ago, but gained 10mph because of traction and crappy 60'

Vid---> http://www.streetelite.net/vids/12_1_pass.mpg (can't launch like that and still pull a good ET.)

New best (MS3 cam swap):

60' - 1.91/8 - 7.9@931/4 - 12.1@122

EDIT: Went back to the track yesterday and finally broke into the 11s...

60' - 1.821/8 - 7.7@951/4 - 11.85@123
