I'm fully aware I can rebuild the internals either way but how much hp at the crank can a vg30e w series take on stock head and internals?? I read the et is around 5 550.

Apparently you didn't find that there is no difference between the VG30E and VG30ET components. The ONLY difference is the shape of the pistons. Crank, valves, cams, heads, rods, etc are all exactly the same.

Really? damn... any difference in max hp on the stock internals due to different compression ratios?

I can't recall ever seeing how much the heads can flow untouched. They flow for s***, but being turbocharged you can overcome that with brute force. Which is what most seem to do.

Now if i had to guess a hp number for the heads based on when people running big numbers worked them, I'd say in the area of 500-600hp. On the other hand Z31 owners in general are cheap bastards, and doing heads the right way is a serious chunk of change so it could be less. I plan on having my heads taken care of by 350hp.

I'm actually dumb enough to attempt my own metal work here soon with some supervision from a fellow idiot.. I have 3 motors to burn so why not. (I'll be careful of course)
