Ok, just bought a new Sidewinder 6500. how do you hook ub the lock/unlock feature. I found the wire(orange/black). Now what?

This is one of the three known systems Nissan used in early production. To operate, open(cut) the org/blk wire and the doors will lock, pulse the same wire to ground and the doors unlock. The other two systems are negative pulse (orange/black for lock and orange/blue for unlock both at the door lock timer in the passenger kick behind the ecm.) and non-centralized - add actuator in drivers door.

set your alarm for negative triggered door locks.

cut the orange/black wire.

connect your lock wire from your alarm to terminal 85 on a relay.

connect a fused 12v wire to terminal 86.

connect your unlock wire from your alarm and the side of the org/blk that goes to the door lock timer to terminal 87a.

connect the remaining org/blk to terminal 30.

That should do it...

thanks...i got everything else hooked up. Starter disable, remote start...just could not figure that out.

another question. can i use the factory horn instead of the siren. if so how would you hok this up?

any idea how to make my horn my siren instead of the siren that comes with it?

Find the horn wire from under the dash, http://www.directechs.com pw:122t

and find the wire color and polarity, about the door locks, you can make it easier on yourself without risking frying the door's motor by adding a actuator for the drivers door as previously stated.

how and why would I use and actuator? How is a relay going to "fry" the motor?
