I'm in North-east Huntsville and work in the Jones Valley area...

Not rolling in a 240, but I am putting a CA18DET into my 87 Nissan EXA (Pulsar NX) Sportbak. Car is almost done so you may very well see me running around soon!

PS: Tim, we need to hook up sometime so I can get a look at the beast I've heard so much about :P

Yeah, would be great to meet up with some nissan guys in the area... especially with something as unique as a Sportbak'd turbo pulsar :]

If anyone knows of a 240 for sale in good shape and decently priced please let me know. I'm in the market right now and I haven't had much luck with Autotrader or the classifieds on here.

Wanna buy mine for more money than it's worth? It's got such options as no a/c, no powersteering, no bumper support, ~450whp, and weights about 2500lbs with driver.

It's got a 5 star safety rating

Hey, my name is Cody I'm the founder of 240sRus of B'ham, AL.We're planning a Alabama 240 BBQ meet for the 25th to reach out and meet fellow Alabama and surrounding states 240 peeps that are willing to come out, so get ready!!!

1st meet I've ever planed, so I'm hoping to make it big but I'm not really expecting it to be a big turn out but still.

Where gunna have food and drinks on a low budget, but if you want to bring something to drink or throw on the grill for yourself or DONATE, you can.

Invite other 240 peeps to come with you.

We're looking at the 25th, the weekend befor Halloween.

From all the response I've been getting on this, we are now looking out in Leeds, AL. for a place to get together at.

Please R.S.V.P.

Here's a different option........ http://www.speedforsale.com is hosting an event the same day(oct. 25th, scroll down) in Steele, at the Alabama International Dragway; http://www.alabamainternationaldragway.com/I went last year, took the s12....it's $15 to enter, BUT that includes FREE unlimited 1/4 mile passes, FREE car show, and they have a mobile dyno for $50 a car. They had some great cars last year in the car show...mostly Supra's, but also a mix of Nissans, a couple of Skylines, Maxima's, 240's, other Toyota's, a few Honda's and a few misc domestic's....all and all, pretty good turn out. Not very many people ran the 1/4 mile....I went back to back 4 times without having to wait, just pulled up, and went everytime.Anyway....that option is there, and it's not that far from Leeds

Here is the full details.

I'm planning that we meet under Hwy59 on 10/25/08 in front of the BJCC in Birmingham around 1pm-2pm, then from there we'll then drive to Trussville and take curvey back roads and curvey mountain roads to Vandiver park outside of Leeds and BBQ up there, after that we might plan to head out to some other places and drift or drag.

This is just a meet, great, eat, and drift. No Hondas...

This will be low budget, we're taking donations, so if you're willing to bring something please say so...

Plan to take pictures and videos. Saw a great place for a group shot off the side of the mountain.

Please R.S.V.P. so I can get a head count!

hmm now i want to go to both... but i think i'll get my fill of drag racing when IFO comes to montgomery motorsports park on the 9th of october, i think i'd rather do a little drifting this time. I'll get a headcount from the folks here within a week or so and RSVP. LMK if yall plan on coming to IFO so maybe we can meet up.

Meet up 10/25/08 around 1pm at 'O'Reilly's Auto Parts' at exit 134 off I-59. (Meet and greet.)

Leave around 2pm once everyone gets there.

Head down Hwy 11 into Trussville.

Right onto John Rodgers Rd. (Nice straight away.)

Left onto Hwy 78.

Right onto Old Leeds Rd.

Left onto Grants Mill Rd. (Ok curves, really bumpy.)

Left onto Eastern Valley Rd.

Right onto Elliot Ln. (Ok curves.)

Right onto 25. (Sweet *** curves) "CAUTION Sharp Curves Steep Grades Next 19 Miles - Street Sign"

Left onto 43 (If you went right instead of left there is a nudist park.)

Vandiver Park less than a mile on the left. (BBQ and shoot ****.)

Once we're full we can head out and go somewhere else with the 'night' time we have left

The date has changed to 11/01/08, still the same place just one week later.

Just meet up, greet up, ride up, and then eat up.

I do not condone any of the following...

There is also alot of talk from here and there that one group wants to go drifting and another one wants to go racing after the meet...

The National Weather Service issued today that the safest place to be during a tornado is Auburn due to touchdowns being very rare

Fall/Winter is coming upon us so I felt it would be good to have a BBQ get together between all S-chassis cars in the area. This meet will be advertised in numerous forums.

We'll also have a 50/50 drawing.

Vandiver Park looks like a great place to meet. In order to make this a successful BBQ we will need everyone to volunteer to bring something.

GUYS THAT WILL BE ATTENDING THIS EVENT.Could you list what you are going to bring? As in what type of food. What's a BBQ if there are a lot of people and not enough food if no one contributes. Thanks!

Just to give you an idea of what items we need, here are some suggestions:

-Coal-Cooking utensils-Finger foods - chips and dip-Coolers (as well as ice)-Condiments (Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonaise, Relish etc) -Burgers + Buns -Hot Dogs + Buns-Ribs -Drinks (soda, water, juice)-Plastic utensils-Napkins-Plates-Trash bags-Snacks (brownies, cookies, donuts etc)-Be creative....

This will be the first in a series of annual s-chassis Fall meets to come.

When:

November 1st 2008at 12:00 P.M.

Meet at:

260 Gadsden HwyBirmingham, AL 35235

The drive:
