OK. Brad. You have been told not to go to old airport because the city will shut down ALL motorsport activity there. Including the SCCA autocrossing that is held at that location. IF you are caught (and you will be, cops work weekends too) then you will ruin ANY chance of legalizing drifting in Huntsville. Team TAC and TVR are already displeased by your team's behaviour. If you don't get a grip on your guys then you will find it very difficult in your venture to host events.

Not to mention you don't seem to have a good grip on what it takes to host a legal event. Know how much it is to purchase a $1 million plus insurance policy? Did you even know you needed one? Have contacts? Go to city meetings? All of this is crucial to legalizing an event. Grow up some, get a grip, and then maybe you can head in the right direction.

And BTW, while you have been doing your illegal drifting, HSVDrifting has been well on the way to legalizing an event and planning a series. You have some catching up to do.

I've been seeing this nice looking red s14 kouki driving around Mobile. Saw him in Tillman's Corner a week or two ago, and saw him going down Demotropolis today. I never have the chance to go find out if he's a member to any forums, because I've had someone with me both times. Ah well, looks pretty nice from what I've seen. Always clean.

Also saw a black hatch today, pignose if I'm not mistaken. Was pulling into Sears Essentials parking lot when I was pulling out. I think it had some red lines on it too. I gave the guy the thumbs up, and he threw me a peace sign.

Either of these from NICO? Or anyone else in Mobile, hit me up.

well i'm a Z32 driver in montgomery.

i know we have a lot of 240 drivers here, too. some nice, some crap. some huge power, some probably less power than stock. some run, some don't. some turbo, some n/a. i don't personally know of any that aren't KA(T) though. except one RB20.

i know one thing for sure: there aren't enough Z drivers here! i only know of a few.

Direct Impact? Very familiar with them, Scott Lawrence is my boy from way back.

And what good is an event if its so small nobody I know around here has heard it?

Whats that sound?

Wait, thats the shipment of FAIL you ordered.

I'm not concerned with what you think because I know that most of what you say is BS (E.G: "Single cams are better than Dual Cams") and that you are only fed up because the real drift scene doesn't accept you.

But it's whatever. I got my point across and I really don't care anymore. The past few months have really showed me who is serious about it and who just ****s around. It's useless trying to organize **** here so I'm just focusing on my build for the next Time Attack and setting my sights on a non-seeded slot in Formula D. **** this small time ****.

Satsuma/Mobile here!

I have an 89S13 Auto. Still deciding between a KA24 DOHC and a FWD SR20. Leaning KA, the SR may be for sale, along with a few other parts to fund the install.

I believe you can use your KA tranny on that SR, but don't quote me.

To use that SR would be a pain. You would have to get an RWD head first off (because of the distributor location) and also swap out the intake and exhaust manifolds. Pretty much the only useful part of that motor you have is the block. However, you could probably sell the head and manifolds to some Sentra guys and use that towards getting some RWD parts.

If you want NA performance though, go dual cam KA, much more torque than the SR (therefore more fun to drive).

I am partial to boost, thats why I have a CA18DET (much better than SR btw, cast iron blocks rock.)

So there you go, hope it helps a bit.

Yeah how much actual HP can you get out of a NA KA?

I dunno...never looked into the highest proven na horsepower on a KA...but I do know it's not too terribly hard to get around 220 cause I've seen it done with very little mods i.e. intake, exhaust, cams, ignition, and little stuff like that.

220ish HP with 300+ ft/lb would not be too hard.

High comp pistons, a stout valvetrain, good fuel delivery with a decent tune, and a nice set of cams. Very doable.

That's what I figured. I bet with enough work put into it you could actually get 300ish, but it would cost you your soul and first born. But that's the way it is with any NA motor. You can get high horsepower with em, but boosting does it so much faster and easier, and at a fraction the cost.

What's up you guys? Watty has an S14 with a 1UZFE swap. He's on every once and a while. I dunno about anyone from T-town. I'm sure there's a lot if you look around here.
