This has been going on since December. At some point since my clock Spring was changed and I had gotten 2 front seats from a (non-wrecked) salvaged car.

I’ve tried everything from pressing the buttons on the side door, to turning the car on and off when the airbag light blinks, to even unplugging the airbag connections from the seats (they may have been flooded with water, but all electrical functions work otherwise).

Anyone have any suggestions? The clockspring I got from EBay. It works, but it seemed like it said 95 Infiniti on the picture but says 99 Infiniti on the ad. I don’t know exactly because it was sent to my mechanic last year and he installed it.

I’ve even tried taking the bulb out of the airbag light behind the instrument cluster, but there’s no way to do so for that particular bulb I think.

Have you tried the self diagnostic in the factory service manual - starting at around page RS-26? The "without Consult" method uses the door switch, and ignition switch.

I think you need to take it to a shop with a code reader that will read the airbag system codes. Most auto paqrts stores do not have those. That should narrow down the problem quite well.

I’ll check the service manual again. But I used tips off of YouTube with no success.

I had a mechanic scan the airbag light after they changed the clockspring, they said the code pointed to passenger seat airbag. I unplugged the connectors for the airbag, then did the turn key on and off, press door switch a few times...no results.

I’m wishing I just kept my old seat’s airbag modules. I ended up throwing them out because I was in the middle of moving. These salvage yard seats might have gotten water in them at some point.
