Well, it does for a second. I hit the OFF button, and it just turns back on! Took it by the dealer this afternoon...of course, it's 130pm and they do not want to get into it at this point. taking it in on Monday and leaving it there.

Anyone have this problem or hear of it before?

Yeah, the tech that looked at it and witnessed it, said my car was possesed, lol...he had never seen it either. He said usually, the problem is, that the AC will no turn on, not off.

Probably a short somewhere, but something the dealer will obviously need to replace.

Seems to be a common issue, or design flaw.

If you have ran the AC since you last started the car, and if you switched it toward the windshield defrost mode, (which automatically uses AC to get rid of the humidity) then the AC stays on as long as you have the fan on in any other vent mode (face/feet etc). You have to actually turn the car off then on again to reset the AC.

If this is what you're experiencing, this is something everyone else complains about with most other Nissans lately. My '05 Altima 2.5 and '06 Sentra 1.8 did/do the same thing to this day.

Nope, never switched from the face mode...I had wanted to drop the windows and open the sunroof one nice day, which I did, so, I hit the OFF button on the air...then all of a sudden, I notice it is back on again, SO, I hit the OFF button, and it immeadiatley came back on! I foght with it doing this cycle about 4 times, unltil if finally stayed off...for about 5 mins, then came back on again!

The dealer is waiting to hear back from Tech support...they think it is some kind of control module acting up. In the meantime, I have my car back, and when they hear from tech support as to what exactly the problem is and what needs replaced, they will call me to bring it in to have the part(s) replace as needed. SO, until then, I just deal with it.
