I just bought a 300ZX NA automatic, love the car and want to do small modifications keeping mind I'm not that handy so need to budget labor costs.

I'm wondering if anyone that has tried to install an after market automatic shifter on a 300ZX NA can provide some input on what shifter you used, if you got one with over drive button, how long the install took, and if you have any detailed installation wrote-up or even some tips.

I bought an OBX SK18 knob since it's only one I came across with OD button, but now am thinking of its better to go with a Momo top push button shifter without OD button.

Also, I'm located in northern New Jersey, can anyone recommend a reliable shop or Z owner that would do this and other work on my Z?

Welcome!
Sorry but I've never heard of any shifter changes for the Z32 automatic but I suppose that a crafty shop who understands how the whole thing is done on the Z32 might be able to work out how to fit in another shifter, but it surely wouldn't be cheap.
Best plan might be to locate a shop selling aftermarket shifters and ask if they know of outfits that custom fit to unique applications, or of DIY/universal kits/adapters.

Not sure my self. But seen it done before.

However. You are not left hanging dry by having auto. There's a Transgo shift kit that helps improv a the quality of your shifts and improves durability. I recommend finding your trans model number off the side of your trans to match it. Would not be surprised if it was RE4RO3A.

No unfortunately phone companies stopped offering service on car phones like this about 10 years ago. I'm just keeping it for the nostalgia.

Im betting if you were to find the right guy they could transplant a modernish phone into it. That would be cool.

Good idea. We're having the annual Z meet-up this weekend in NJ so will ask around.
