No, there is no gain, except with the Ka24E MAF you don't need to retune the ecu to get it working as it maxs out at the hp as the ca18det.

I believe I posted the maf hook up in one of the stickys a long time ago, check the stickys.

coolis that why the 24e maf doesn't have that adjustment thing you have to use a probe of some sort to use adjust that thing

what adjustment on the maf? there are no adjustments available on any nissan mafs, if your talking about the pot on some mafs, that doesnt adjust the voltage of the maf, it accually has nuthing to do with the maf. it changes a voltage inside the ecu, but doesnt affect the a/f or maf in any way

you could try finding a ka24e maf locally from a junkyard or such, probably easier than finding a ca18det one on short notice

or get your choice of other MAF such as Z32 and either repgoram ECU or get a SAFC, but I'd say just get the KA-E MAF for now

yes the pot on a stock ca mafsi have no idea what it does the fsm says to use a probe in the exhast to adjust, if the probe is in the exhast how does that control or adjust only voltage??the probe has to be metering mixture not voltage

It's for adjusting emmissions. I'm not at home, but I've got a PDF file that explains it.
