Advice needed for buying a Z

I am in the market for a Z and I found a great deal with the following specs

-2006-Los Angeles, USD 21000-20000 miles-touring package-ALL options including GPS-stocks-1.5 year left on warranty

I think it's a great deal but my only concern is with the 2006 rev-up engine that has the oil consumption problem. What do you think? Stay out of 2006?

My friends suggested I can just go with the extended warrany if I am worried. Just to let you know, I might put FI the car.. and I did hear ppl here saying it's not a good idea to FI a rev-up car. Give me your 2 cents please.
