Hey... Looking for something basic... Some wrenches, ratchet and sockets, stuff like that.

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money on tools just yet. The work I plan on doing will be fairly basic, tune up and routine maintainence(sp), things like that.

My car is a 92 240sx, if that's relevant at all. I can buy things like a strap wrench separately.

Thanks for helping me out, there are lots of choices and i am new to this

I would head over to your local Sears and see what they have in your budget range. Can't beat the warranty for the weekend warrior.

I bought a 100 piece socket set, that came in a convenient briefcase holder, from Target about 13 years ago. It was on sale for about $20.

I've done just about every major service you can do to a vehicle while using this set as a base (and adding specialty tools when needed). $500 cars to $60,000 cars.

No need to buy "Cobalt" or "Snap-On", unless your friends call you Money.
