Hello, I'm new to the forum. =)

My boyfriend has been looking for component speakers for his 04 G35 sedan, but is kind of on a budget. I thought that I would be a good girlfriend and get him some nice speakers for Xmas. I spent all day researching speakers and poking around in his car to find out what he has. Here's what I got:

1. Car was bought used and came with the factory Bose system2. I know his left tweeter is blown3. He's already got a subwoofer and an amp, but all the speakers are stock

A friend recommended MB Quart, but on another thread I read that the MB Quart tweeters are too sharp? My bf's been looking at Boston Acoustics too. I'm looking to spend no more than $200 on the component speakers + tweeters (is that realistic?). I don't think he's looking for high-end stuff just because he's on a budget and just wants a decent system. He bumps hip hop and alternative rock in his car usually.

Also, can anyone can fill me in on the proper dimensions of the speakers + tweeters, and any other info I may need? I don't want to buy something and have to end up drilling and cutting away at the panels.

Thanks!

Welcome to NICO!

I'd recommend this if you're on a budget:
