Would it be too much current draw to wire in a pair of Nilight 42 watt led fog pods to the existing fog lamps?

Or should I wire it separately?

I was looking for it to come on the same time with fog lights when I turn on lights.

If the existing fogs are also LED, it's probably fine. The wattage ratings on most LED's are "equivalence" and don't correspond to the actual current draw, which is usually much lower. If the existing ones are halogen then you probably want to figure out the exact draw and make sure it doesn't exceed the fuse rating (most likely 10A for a Nissan).

No the original fogs are halogens. H3 bulb style and 55watts each.

As for the ones I want to put in, it just says 42watts each. No other info provided. I know leds usually are the equivalence like you stated.

I guess I’ll just wire up separately with a relay, fuse, and switch coming from the battery.

That would be the safe bet. Or you could change out the halogens for LED also. H3 LED's aren't as critical of heat-sinking as other types because of the metal frame, so you can get 12-emitter Diode Dynamics cobs for about $35 on Amazon. You'll have matching white light and you can skip the relay.

I’ll check that out. If not will just wire separately.

Now I do have LEDs in the headlights. Is wiring straight to that an option? Of course it will always come on with headlights but I wouldn’t mind that.

The original fogs were always kinda useless on these in my opinion.

You probably can share the headlight circuits since they're LED, but since the headlights have separate left/right fuses, wire left to left and right to right, not both to one headlight. That's actually the safest installation from a legal standpoint, because there are some states and municipalities where fogs can only be on with the low beams or parks.

Ended up wiring separately, but got them installed.

For the original fogs themselves, is it safe to up the bulbs to 100watts each h3?

Originally they are 55watts. I am thinking it will be too much load and heat but I have read some forums where people used them on the pathfinder. The housing is glass.

I tried the led h3 from amazon, a few of them, and they are dimmer than the regular halogens unfortunately. Can’t even tell it’s on or off when driving down the road.

I doubt the circuit will handle 100W bulbs. Check the fuse rating, if it's a 15A you'll be right on the edge (14.1A). If it's 10A then you'll need to cut away from the factory circuit and use it to drive a DIY relay with heavier wiring. Note that the housings may not stand the heat, 100W halogens get hellishly hot.
