Considering the 250+ chemicals already in gasoline, unlikely that anything that is reasonable [not a strong acid or base, not corrosive] in a small amount 11 ounces in 20 gallons [2560 ounces] will do any harm.

After all there are 256 ounces of ethanol already so hard for isopropyl alcohol to help any longer.

The point is E10 [with it's 256 ounces of ethanol in 2560 ounces of gasoline] pretty well negates all previous blends of additives available at the stores.

"Recent tests have shown that FFVs using E85 can produceengine deposits. In-depth research on the subject is discussed ina Society of Automobile Engineers technical paper published inOctober 2007 titled “A Comprehensive Examination of theEffect of Ethanol-blended Gasoline on Intake Valve Deposits inSpark-ignited Engines.” The good news is that appropriate additivesspecifically formulated for use in E85 can address depositproblems. However, these additives are different from those usedin gasoline"

"Intake valve sticking is a possible, unintended consequenceof using poorly formulated gasoline additives in gasoline. Thisoccurs when some of the additive builds up in the annular spacebetween the intake valve stem and the valve guide in the cylinderhead. At low temperatures, any build-up in this area becomesmore viscous and inhibits valve movement. Under extreme conditions, the valve spring cannot close the intake valve, resulting ina loss of compression. Consequently, the engine doesn’t start."

Based on the graphs in the above report E10 is the absolute worst blend to create engine deposits so special care must be observed.
