I never mentioned that the Cobra MAF would not work on the KA24E...

The Cobra MAF will actually work with neither one if you don't have the ECU re-programmed first to understand that MAF.

i know that the ECU has to be programmed for it, but i need to know what MAF will physically bolt on correctly to the E, in order to get one and get the ECU tuned for it.

so the cobra MAFS will physically bolt on to the E properly?

its just that on a website called KA24DE.com i figure that they sell things specifically for the KA24DE, and since i dont own one, i dont know the differences between the two.

thanks for the help

Hmm, I believe the Cobra and the 300ZX MAFs are both bigger in size then the stock MAF. Taking into account that your installing aturbo and will have new intake piping anyway, I don't see a problem. Everything should only need hose clamps and rubber pipe connectors.

I just installed a Z32 maf yesterday. Its simple as long as you can find the correct wiring diagram

For the Cobra MAF, all you need is the MAF connector (available at ford) to hook it up to the MAF harness in the engine bay.

If you can't find the wiring diagram, just tap into the wires with a digital voltmeter when the vehicle (or the ignition key) is on. One of the wires is 12V (feeds power to the MAF), one is ground, and the other is the MAF signal that goes to the ECU. All you need to do with the voltmeter is find the 12V and ground. The third wire is the MAF signal. Sometimes you will have a fourth wire (of the same color as the ground wire). This is just another ground.
