Car: 1992 Infiniti Q45A

I just bought a 1992 Q45A from an auction. Car is in very good condition and my mechanic did a diagnostic cuz the Actsus light is on in the dashboard. He's quoting me $545 just for this sensor. I have no idea what this is or what it's for. Can someone please help?

There are a half dozen active posters here with Q45a's who will respond, but there's one guy in the country who is the undisputed expert on the ACTSUS.
