I've been checking out a whole bunch of coupes lately and i am noticing that almost all of them have clean car fax reports but when i am actually in the car i see spots of new paint showing that the car had been repainted and i see mis aligned hoods. anyone have some tips on how to spot an accident car. thanks

and just to be clear. Is there any reason i shouldn't get an 03 coupe compared to an 04?

Do a search. The model year differences have been discussed in the past month.

I would be careful when buying online, you don't know the maintenance history. If you get a chance to actually see the car, know that the front bumper is prone to chips, as well as the hood. They might have been repainted to look better for a sale. If you notice any repairs inside the engine bay, or plastic missing-especially around the front clip; chances are, it was in an accident.

Finally, Always ask for receipts of oil changes etc. A Carfax report is only the beginning of research...
