AC unit has a "humming" noise. HELP! 1999 QX4

Just today I began hearing a humming noise when the AC is on. It is coming from inside the dash or firewall area.

When I exited the vehicle and opened the hood, its humming from the AC Compressor. AC works fine, just makes an usual noise.

Does this sound like a compressor going bad or what?

Sounds like a bad pulley. Could be the one on the compressor itself or the AC tensioner pulley. Probably the former.
