Need some help/advice...

The ABS dash light illuminated. When I got home I noticed a whirring noise. Turns out it's coming from the ABS module which seems to be on/active even when the engine is off. Tried pulling the fuses, but it kept going (maybe I pulled the wrong ones). I disconnected the battery in the meantime. Any idea what's causing this and how to fix?

Alternatively, is it possible to temporarily disable the ABS by removing a fuse? Which is it?

Thanks in advance!

Wow. No one knows?

Well, just in case any one else has this issue in the future, to disable the ABS actuator module:

- in the engine compartment, locate the 3 wire socket connectors which are to the left (if you're facing the front of the car) of the actuator. The actuator itself is on the passenger side, up against the firewall with a bunch of metal brake tubes connected to it.

-disconnect the sockets. i only disconnected the middle one and it stopped the actuator from running. ymmv.

-you will have the ABS light illuminate on your dash, and obviously you won't have ABS any more.

When I have time, I'll see if I can read the fault codes from the ABS control unit.
