I'm going tomorrow to drive this car. A woman that my wife works with is selling this car, and I figured it would be a great 2nd car for me to have, as they have great styling, and from what I understand, can be very fun to drive. :)

Is there anything that I should look or listen for while driving/inspecting this car? I mean, I want the car, but I don't want to end up with on that's gonna have more problems than it's worth. ;)

I figured you guys were the experts, hence the reason me registering here, and asking for your advice! :D

So tell me 240SX gurus, what should I look for?

Thanks!

Edit: BTW, it's an automatic with 153K miles on it. She says it has every available option, as that's the way she ordered when she bouhgt it new.

Well I dont know what to look for other than the usual things for any car.Service records would help. The 240 is a very nice car to have as a 1st or 2nd one.Should save you mad $$ in gas vs that V8!Good Luck and I hope someone else can give you more information. There is lots of info floating arround, try the Search feature in the top right of the screen.BTW! If you get the car this week there is a BIG Nissan meet in Bowling Green KY on March 8th.Check out the Nissan Meets section for more information!;)

No porblem, thats what makes this place such a good place to be.Come to the meet and you will get a chance to meet many 240 owners.Bring that SS if you dont get the Nissan, although I dont think that they will let you race it when its time for the bracket racing. You can run durring the test and tune time though.:)

No, sorry man, I haven't. :( This is really my first stint into the import world, as everything I've ever known has been domestic, and still is. :D

Besides my 00'SS, I also own a 91' Z28 350 TPI, and a 70' Nova SS 396. ;)

listen for ticking or clancking, witch would mean that the timing chain is rubbing on the guide, easily removed.
