Well, I guess it stands to reason that this is quite a common problem with these...I thought I got away from all the idiot lights by switching away from the Ford/GM cars which I was constantly plagued with. I got the estimate for the replacement of both sensors, one from the local Nissan dealership, the other from a reliable auto shop....both came within a couple bucks of each other at $1025.00. Niiiiiicce.....funny how I'm now back to driving my 1977 F-250 with 371k on it while this rig has a top hat adjustment. I hope this does the trick....sure hated to see my "Stimulus Check" pay for that.

Welcome to Nico,

Don't bother replacing the knock sensor. My dad has an Xterra that does the same thing. What we should do is get some kind of group together to pressure Nissan to do something about it.

02 sensors aren't that hard to do yourself for the cost of parts.
