Guys, I just want to say thanks to everyone for giving me quick and positive answers. I'm sure she will be so happy and glad that no one had ANY problems with it and it's not a big deal at all.

Well, they did catch my uvula and rip it off. They accidently cut my stomach and I almost had to get 1/2 of it removed due to their screw up. They also caused my tongue to swell and chipped three teeth.

Of course, it turned out to be a dream.

Trust me, this procedure is pretty standard in any GI lab. If she needs anything, they will just give her a short acting benzo for sedation and she won't remember a thing. the benzos cause retrograde amnesia. She most likely will have a sore throat, so she can either take over the counter benzocaine (Cepastat) lozenges to help with that, or just sucking on ice for a cooling effect. Oh or Chloraseptic throat spray helps also. These procedures are so common these days, nothing usually goes wrong. If she goes home and starts to have a fever, or vomits blood then go back to the hospital right away, other than that, no sweat.
