I was wondering if anyone has the same problem and what you do about it if you do. Is there a way to fix this problem. So when i go to an event and slide around for the day my transmission leaks just about all the transmission fluid out of the shifter hole. All the 240s s13s that i drift with do this same thing... is there a fix for this to stop this? or are we destine to keep the gear oil companies in business spilling our gear oil out of our trannies drifting?

I would silicon the shifter assy. Also use some redline gear oil to prevent foaming and make sure the vent tube is bolted higher than the trani.

what exactly do you mean silicone the shifter assy... are you talking like rtv? or dielectric silicone? and if you use rtv that will interfere with shifting i imagine.. ill have to check my vent tube.. but we have 4 s13s at the track and all 4 do this. I have put an o-ring in my shifter assy and it has helped a bit but it still leaks..

Where you bolt the shifter Down. Not the pivot ball. If its leaking there than one of three things is happening. The shifter is worn out, the fluid is warn out and foaming causing fluid to rise into shifter. Vent tube is clogged or not elevated enouph, causing pressure in the system.

well i know its not fluid worn out.. it doesnt stay in there long enough to wear out.. it could be shifter worn out though.. or the vent tube.. ill check the vent tube..
