Im currently thinking about getting a ca motor set and would like to know a few things... I have searched but havent found a clear answer. 1st. Does the ca use the small or large 02 sensor? as in do I need the s13 or s14 02 housing?

2nd. This is going to sound completely newbish but I got to thinking and when ever you wire everything up, do you first install the wiring harness into the car then hook all the connectors back up after the motor is in. or do you leave everything connected to the motor then make the modifications to the harness once everythings in the car?

3rd. Is there a cheaper alternative to the greddy vspl kit? also do you get the s13 sr or s14 sr kit due to the difference in the cold piping where it connects to the t/b? also does the s13 SR hot pipe work with the ca?

4th. Will the stock ka-e radiator hold me over for a while as long as im not doing any sustained runs (forgot to mention its about 30 deg. around here for about 4 months)?

any answers are appreciated thanks, -Jake

1. I don't know

2. I suppose you could do either way, whichever you prefer. I had my harness off when I dropped the engine in. Then after I had the harness serviced, I put it on with the motor in the car. I suppose this might be a little more difficult than with the motor out, but it wasn't a big deal.

3. A few people on here have bought the XS power i/c kit on ebay. It says it's for a CA, but the general consensus is that the piping needs a little modification on the cold side to work. The s14 coldpipe is what you would need for the CA, although I dont have any personal experience with that. The XS kit usually runs for about 300-400 I think, give or take a few. S13 hotpipe works with the stock/s13sr t25. A t28 will require some modification.

4. The stock ka radiator will work fine, especially if its 30 degrees out. But an upgraded radiator is always a good investment.

Hopefully other people can answer what I havent or add more.

1-It depends on the year. I'd just get one for an S13 and call it a day.

2-I've always done it with the motor in the car. then you can get all of the wire lengths correct.

3-You can use the SSAC or XS kits. The CA one apparently needs modified. Otherwise, use a kit for an S14.

4-Yes.
