I just bought a 1990 240SX coupe, and I'm gonna do a little tuneup tomorrow. First off, the brakes are acting as if there's air in the lines, so I want to bleed them. What kind of fluid should I use? Any old DOT3 ok?Second, what weight oil should I use? The engine is high miles (190k), and it's been consistently freezing weather (10 to 30 degrees) this winter... I'm thinking 5W30. (I know this usually causes heated debates, I just want the middle-of-the-road, normal choice.)Sorry for the basic questions... I searched but didn't turn up much, and I don't have an owner's manual. :) Thanks guys.Mike

The recommended is 5w-30 I believe, and you definately need it for the cold oil, most 4 cylinder engines are recommended to use 5w-30. but yours is higher mileage and people tend to use thicker oil in engines like that. If i were you, i'd stick to the lower viscositys since it's so cold.
