I am trying to fix the A/C in my girlfriend's truck. There is a crack in the metal end of the low pressure line. The issue is that I am unsure the name of this piece or if if it can be replaced without replacing the whole line

if the line has a crack the entire line needs to be replaced. cost more to fix a line than buy one. Go to junkyard and find one.

Low Pressure line from Compressor to firewall. Can possibly be repaired by a radiator/hose repair shop by will likely need to be replaced along with the o-rings inside the line. Don't use standard Buna o-rings, use AC o-rings designed for the job.

Mine cracked too. Right where the line meets the flange on the compressor end. I've been looking for a new low AC line for months. I hardly ever find hardbodies in the junkyards by me. Good luck finding one.

I've seen the low line online for ~$75. The stealership by me has an insane markup on parts. I'd much rather spend that $75+ on other areas. The heat isn't too bad since I'm near the beach, but it would be nice to have AC.

I have checked around, dealership prices are ridiculous and online is hard to find through second hand parts strores

I am wondering if the line is similar to a singe cams in a 240?

Go to a shop that does industrial hose making, they can make any pressure line cheaper than any dealership. Look in yellow pages under industrial hose or materials.they can make lines to fit anything and usually cheaper than a dealer hose.MUCH cheaper, just take old line to them they can make it.

I looked at a few 240s in the junkyard and they looked different.
