The pistons shipped today! I should have them in a few days. Then everything goes down to the machine shop and I wait for him. I'll probably go ahead and pull the motor and start tearing it down this weekend.

Man, I hope this new build work out for the better. It has been quite the journey for you and that motor of yours. God forbid if something happens again that's not favorable, it will be time to take another approach. But I'm confident you'll be fine and this too shall pass :yesnod

Yea, I'm sure I have the issue figured out now with the helicoil. I'm kind of sad to see this block go. The block, crank, and rods from this engine are original to my very first CA I ever bought. I might hang onto them for sentimental value. Or weld them into a table or a chair or something, LOL!!

Make a table out of the block and rods. If you have a set of stock pistons, use them as feet. LED back-light the cylinders with a glass top for the table... I did that with an old SBC block from one of my racecars and sold the thing for $400 at a flea market lol
