99 maxima spoiler light (led 3rd brake light)

Hey everyone, my 3rd brake light is about to go, there are only about 3 or 4 led's left, and I don't want to shell out the $170 to fix it. I've done a little research and have found articles on how to fix it via resistors and soddering, but I'm more mechanically oriented, not electrical! So I'm hesitant to do it that way. So my question is what is the least expensive fix for this? Are there any for sale on the forums? Any ideas at all? Thanks in advance for the help!

You could try looking for the light assembly from a junk yard. http://www.car-part.com Search for spoilers, and go from there.
