Hey guys, it's been a long time since I was on here. Car has been running well more or less the last few years until recently. Lately there's a few issues, but I'm most concerned about the clutch pedal at the moment.

The car has nearly 180,000 miles on it and the previous owner put in a new clutch at about 110,000. A few years ago, I made a post about my clutch pedal not returning to its top position, but this issue is a bit different.

So a couple weeks ago, I got in the car and found the clutch pedal had lost a lot of feel, but would still disengage and engage the clutch if I pushed all the way to the floor. I drove it for a few days like this, trying to shift without clutching as much as possible. Due to work, the car sat for a week without being driven, and the next week when I got in it the pedal has almost no feel until just above the floor. I was able to start the car and get it into first gear to move it, but disengagement and engagement of the clutch only happened right at the floor. I rolled the car back into it's parking spot in neutral and have not been in it since. The pedal returns to it's top position, but it is incredibly light except for right near the floor where it engages. The clutch itself seems to still engage and disengage, but the pedal is almost an on/off switch and has to be completely pressed in.

The fluid level in the engine compartment seems to be normal, so I was hoping someone might have some insight as to what this might be so I have a better idea of what to look for.
Thanks

Sounds like it may be an issue with the clutch master cylinder. You could try bleeding the hydrolic lines to see if that helps. You can find more clutch info here. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/maxima/1999/CL.pdf
