On top of the connector, away from the radiator, there is a release tab. Depress/squeeze it and then pull out the plug.
Any reason why you are replacing the radiator? In our 99 I30 there was a radiator leak so I used Bar's Leak Pelletized Radiator Leak Sealer. Then I realized that there's a 4-inch crack just below the filler neck. I used JB Weld Stik to seal the leak and so far, repair looks good. Of course this is only temporary while I weigh my options - OEM radiator from IoS is @ $425 while aftermarket is @ $125. I normally go for OEM part but this time may go for OEM-compatible.
