98 Maxima Battery Cable Replacement Help.

i'm trying to replace the battery cables and i need help.the terminal ends are corroded/damaged really bad and the engine bayis pretty dirty(bought a used car)so i want to replace the cable.i have a Chilton Manual and it's not too much of a help.i also need to know the length of the cables.step by step guide will be very helpful (if w/ pic's. much better)thank you.

Well you could cut the ends off the terminals and get a nice set of aftermarket terminals...wires clean up actually pretty easily with either a damp paper towel or a dry cloth.
