I have a 96 Automatic Twin Turbo Z and I'm looking for a ECU upgrade. I'm getting new injectors, which will need a new ECU. As far as I've found, JWT only sells ECU's for 96 manuals, and they are expensive (almost $600). I was looking at an Ashspecz but I do not believe they make one for a 96. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not totally against the notion of using a older ECU if it wouldn't do something ridiculous to my car. Thanks for the help

I have now also gone through Nistune and that is pretty much out of the question due to me having no near access to a dyno tune.

The older cars have VVT on the intake cam, something they deleted in 96 due to emissions. The automatic cars had slightly smaller cams, and ran a touch less boost in order to preserve the weaker automatic trans. I suspect running the 96 manual tran won't be an issue, the automatic trans is not controlled by the ecu. Wouldn't hurt to pick up a phone and call jwt.

also sent you an email.
