96 sentra windows?

My sister has a 96 Sentra 4 door. She had her drivers front window broken out. The guy at the salvage yard said there is an American and Mexican version. Hers is a Mexican car.

So, what is the difference between the two? The guy said the Amer. window won't work and that is all he has.
