My 96 p/finder shifts in and out of tcc lockup while cruising mostly on Interstates.I suspect the Auto Trans Temp Fluid Sensor. The nissan repair manual gives operating range of .9v to 1.5v for the sensor.I probed the wire from tcm to the sensor with dvom and I read anywhere from .6v to as much as 1.6v.Tcc seems to kick out when the voltage reading is .85 or higher. There is no engine codes or trans codes in ecm.Is there any nissan techs ever encountered this problem. Also the tps was replaced with new nissan sensor and adjusted per service bulletin.Vehicle performs fine in all other respects??????

as I read your post I was going to say tps. I can only think it might be the solonoid pack causeing the problem. I havent seen it on the pathfinder but on some of the sedans I have seen similar problems not related to the tps caused by the solonoid pack.
