Are you sure it's a legit ecu? and does it have a raised rev limit?

yup bought it from JWT over the phone... i think it still has the nissan Self Learning Control. so it'll take a few days. it seemed to get better every time i drove my car. so we will see what happens tomorrow

ahh alright wasn't sure if you bought it used or not. I'm pretty sure they are good for a 20hp gain.

But if you decide you want to sell it and it does have the raised rev limit I may have someone who is interested..

the raised rev limit is pointless i will say that. unless u have an 00vi or MEvi. you wont be able to get enough air at higher rpms to keep going.. but i have a full exhaust headers back and at 5 grand it pulls HARD considering what i have. i never felt the pull in 5th gear until now

Emanage is a complete engine tuning device where YOU tune it yourself, a piggy back ecu. The JWT and rare TechnoSquare ecu's are modified by a company and are replacements for your factory ecu.

The USIM hits a wall around 5500rpm. My buddy has a mevi and was looking for a JWT but didin't want to order one up lol. That's why I asked haha

check out the org's cassifieds - lately there's been a few 00vis cheap and you might get lucky and get a mevi if that's what you want.

what mods do you have done to your Altima to hit 245FWHP?

stroked and individual throttle bodies cams. titanium crank. custom pulleyscustom electronic steering system. port. polish. valve job. injectors. custom ecu. custom transmission with 6 gears. 4.5 final gear. custom throttle body and intake plenum

its a 9 grand rpm car with a top speed of 167 in 6th gear and it gets it on the track

I would go with a 00VI over a MEVI. Plus you can find a 00VI a lot easier than a MEVI.

And if you're thinking bout selling your ECU, let me know.. I can really benefit from the raised rev limiter.

I love my Technosquare, but really need the rev limiter extended! My car has so much more power in the 5500 and on that it saddens me that I can only hit 6400.

yeah i'd love to have an 00vi.. but the difficulty in putting it on bother me. i don't feel like changing throttle bodies or fuel rails and etc.. i just want to bolt it on. hook up a vacuum and rpm system and go... and once againi hate plastic on motors. its cheap and lazy. all the techs at work hate the plastic manifolds, i am in agreement with them

nah.. i'd still rather have a mevi more! i don't want to not pass emissions cause of the egr.. and i hear sometimes its quirky the way they run

Mevi is bolt on and go..

Are you sure it wont pass emissions!? I've never heard of that before, but hen again, nevere really researched it. I just jumped into the VQ35.

well if u block off the egr.. the only thing the ecu monitors is the egr temp sensor. if the exhaust gas doesn't flow through the egr and it doesn't get to around 600-1400 degrees (im not sure of the exact temp) then you can throw a check engine light and not pass emissions. there are ways around it. im just not ready to go through everything

i'd rather bolt the mevi on and go

besides the altima is my project car. i just like having the maxima fast for cheap so i can make all the domestic guys have stupid looks on their faces. and when they say, i didn't know family cars went that fast, it makes me feel good

more or less the same as 00vi but harder to come by. you can give courtesy parts a call - they had brand new for around $500 iirc. keep checking the org classifieds and you might get lucky - i think i saw one not long ago. also kzoosho is putting on a huge turbo so he might not need his mevi - ask him.

if there is one close by i might. i gotta bring it on a truck

HAHAHA i wrote my intakes down twice on the alitma!! i have individual throttle bodies now. not custom throttle body and intake plenum, which was the old setup

there are more odds and ends but those are the primaries

thanks allen. im hitting this guy up for the mevi

i'll let you everyone know what happens when i get it! plus i might do some cams while i have the intakes off... that would be ridiculously sweetcams are my favorite mod ever. nothing changes the dynamics of how a motor runs more than cams

jwt cams are damn expensive unless you go with the 3.5 ones with adapters.

yeah they are expensive.. but they have to be worth it!! they are kickass on the altima

oh when i talked to the tech department, they told me the cams run stron frm 4g up. i'd prefer a 5 grand up cam myself. but since the JWT ecu runs good from 3.8 to 7 and cams are good for about 3 grand worth of powerband, these seem like a great matchup.

the only reason i'd rather have a 5 up set of cams, is they will start dropping at 7 and that's when i'd be shifting, so i'd never be without peak power except in first gear
