96-99 Pathfinder roof rack crossbars on 01 QX4?

Does anyone know if the roof rack crossbars from the 96-99 models will fit into the channels on a 2001 QX4? I’ve got a cargo basket mounted on my QX4, and the tall crossbars make it look really awkward sitting up so high; would love to pull it down a bit closer to the body for a slightly more streamlined look.

Nissan Parts Deal shows the same roof rack cross bar kit for the 96-99 Pathfinder as Infiniti Parts Deal shows for the '01 QX4, so they might fit but there is no difference in style. (Nissan/Infiniti part number 73157-1W620) If the older version of the roof rack kit on those years of the Pathfinder have a lower profile (I have no idea), that might fit as well since 73157-1W620 replaced the older version number 73157-0W000.

'Might fit' is not a very solid answer, I know. There were numerous mounting hardware parts that were superseded by others so I cannot tell for certain if everything matches up. If you are picking a salvaged Pathfinder part, you will likely need the channel mounting hardware as well if it is different than what is on your QX4.
