96-99 front bumper cover maxima to I30

will a maxima bumper fit onto a I30? if so, will there be mods necessary besides the obvious fog and turn lamps?

Not without a good amount of modification. The joint between the bumper and panel joint is different on the Maxima than it is on the I30. The joint on the Maxima is vertical, with the whole of the wheel arch in the fender panel. The joint on the I30 is horizontal, with the fender forming some of the forward wheel arch.

The hoods are also different. The I30's grille is on the hood. The Maxima's grille is on the bumper. Even if the fenders and bumpers did match up, you couldn't use the I30 hood with a Maxima bumper since the grilles would be in the way of each other.
