95 Q will not start-- Fuel sys problem?

1995 Q45, 160k miles

I was driving 45 mph, with a low fuel tank, but no light on. The car started sputtering and then stalled.

Initally is would start, but barely run for few seconds. But now it will not start at all.

I have added 4 gallons of gas.

The fuel pump continues to run for 2 seconds after the ignition is turned off. This is new.

Several dash board lights come on that normally do not light.

My guess with the dash lights is it would be the alternator. It usually shows lights that all at once that never popped up before. You can get this tested at sears or reliable mechanic who has a tester. But for future refernce do not allow your Q to repeatedly go below a 1/4 tank to avoid damage in the long run tho the fuel pump. This is the same for most cars.
