i got a 95 nissan d21 pickup
The fuel pump stoped working! I checked the relay pass side fender between the firewall and battery checked the wires and all that, the truck was running then i shut it off then later tried to start it to move it and nothing.
took the fuel pump out of the tank and hooked it up the the battery and a battery charger and the pump works! Put it back in the tank and nothing!
some times with the whole pump assembely out and pluged into the harness the pump will work and then it wont!
i got a new fuel pump today and tested it with a battery and on the battery charger and it works. Hooked it up to the harnes and turned on the key and it worked! Put it back into the tank and back together and nothing dam thing wont work! i cant test fuel pressure since the pump wont work and at the plug by the tank i got 12volts on a yellow wire but no power at the white/blue strip wire??
can you put an extra relay in and bypass the problem if so were to put it and how to wire it up??
or has any one else have had this problem and know how to fix it??
thank for any and all help
Bill

If you wiggle the harness/wiring does the pump work?

ok at the fuel pump relay with the relay in and key on i got 12 volts at both black wires with white strips
i got 12 volts at the white wire with red strip and no power on the white wire with a blue strip

pull the relay out and the white wire red strip has no power

at the plug by the fuel tank i got 12 volts on the yellow wire and i think it is a brown strip
and low volts for the fuel gauge 5 volts

now i ran a wire from the + battery terinal to the blue / white strip wire and i get power to the plug by the tank!
plug that connector to the tank plug and the pump still does not work???

at the plug by the fuel tank plug disconnected truck side of the plug with a test light on the blue / white strip wire
when cranking the engine the blue/white wire lights up??
but pump will stll not work???
bad ground?? if so were at??
