The chart is wrong, it should read 14x6.

Look on the door post on driver's side. Tire and rim sizes should be there. As far as I know, the D21's came with 14s, Pathfinders had 15s. Rims are interchangeable, Just bought a used set of 15s off kijiji! Perfect fit!

That info sticker could also be in your glove compartment... I believe that's where it was on my '97.

That is right, however, in my case, as I had a hard time finding such required tires -number 14 are not very common for trucks anymore- and I bought instead on Craigslist 4 -p245/60R 14 98S tires, new at $130 all of them together. The look of the truck changed immediately, the feeling on the road also changed, it appears that I can carry more weight in my truck now -of course this is not happening but it really gives you this impression...the tires are "turbo GT something"... I think this is the best deal I made about buying tires to this truck...the tire installer told me that these tires were much more of what I need for my truck but that they were strong and won't make me feel floating on the road because by their tread it appears that you will feel the road with assurance...and it does... No problems when breaking or making turns at all...I was lucky I found such tires brand new from a guy's garage...and after the installation I took it for alignment and my baby was the owner of the street... :)

smaller diameter walled tires will generally give less "cushion" and give you more feeling on the road. Personally I like larger diameter tires for this reason (I live pretty far out in the country and there's some bumpy roads out here).

Of course if it works it works, just realise that your speedo will be fast by a few mph (you're going slower than what your speedo reads) due to your new total wheel diameter being smaller and having less total area to complete one full rotation.

This will also cause your odometer to rack up slightly more mileage than usual.

The previous owner of my truck mounted up 205/70r14 tires on mine, and I am about 2mph slow at 60mph according to my gps. Its finally getting time to change them though, but I just bought a set of 18" titan rims. Hello 225/45r18 :P
