^ Yep, that's butyl rubber. Most auto parts stores sell it as a "windshield installation kit". Some old timers refer to it as "dum dum".

One of the local guys was selling this under body spoiler, so I decided to give it a try. Turned out pretty nice. Better than street signs. I know a couple of guys busted oil pans after they lowered their 240s, so I always wanted something like this. Besides, my under engine cover was trashed when I had a front crank seal leak. It was a direct bolt on to existing holes under the car.

i've been trying to get some of those parts from him on ebay for months. but the 240sx people are paying nearly $100 for them - which i guess isn't a bad price, but considering he probably turns a profit for anything over $20, i'd like to get a good deal... same goes for those radiator diffuser plate things too! the subaru guys only pay ~$25, the s13 guys end up paying ~$60-80!! good for the seller. bad for me.

how much did you pick it up for? do you think i could get you to pick up a few other things for me?

i'm glad i've seen it under the car now. you should send him that picture.

I paid $80 picked up. He lives like 5 min away from my work, so I met him during lunch time. Yeah, not a problem picking stuff up for you since he lives close by.

oh... that's all? i guess i was expecting a deeper discount than that for you. i might as well just order directly from him. if he'd be willing to work with me. if not, then i'll go through you.

car looks great, as always.

oh, now that you've got that skid plate on there, how difficult is it going to be to change your oil filter without making a HUGE mess?

Yeah, I was expecting some good discount, but that was what I had to pay. I replace oil filter from top, not from bottom.

That's a pretty nice part. Maybe someone could set up a group buy to get them at a discount.

where did you find the white back taillights? All i have seen is yellow. If you got them on ebay, please tell me what to put in the search button. I have never seen white back taillights on a 240sx. It is awesome!

Nismo steering rack bushings

And replaced #3 injector for the second time.

Wow,

best looking white 240 I have ever seen. It even shames my red one with 140k on it. I will post some pics when I finally figure out how, honest.

You can be mighty proud of that beauty.

BTW How did you manage not to mount the front Texas Plate? As soon as I arrived here in SA the vehicle inspector let me know real quick the front plate mount had to go on. I think it spoils the hell out of front view of 240, guess your williing to invite a closer look by Texas law enforcement. Im sure not.

MAN! every time i look at this stupid thread it makes me depressed! lol, your car is supremely awesome dude. and soo freakin clean to, it looks like you just bought it from the factory! now i wanna go clean mine all up and make it look new! sweet ride man and even though the motor isnt swapped im sure some magazine would be interested in it. BTW, luckyone, about the front license plate in MD the inspection said that i needed the front license plate as well. but when i was painting the car i took of the whole bracket and i havent put it back on since due to laziness and it looking awesomer. i havent gotten any complaints about it yet. i guess all the cops care about is if they can sneak up behind you and type in ur plate number.

Hey, thanks for the compliments guys.Cops don't care much about front license plates in DFW area. But I've heard that you can get pulled over if you go out of the city and get a warning or something. All my 3 cars don't have front license plates, but I've never had any problem passing inspections or with cops. Besides, there are so many cars don't have front license plates here. 240 does look better without the front license plate though.

I have one funny picture to share. A buddy of mine at work did this for me yesterday. It's cute!!! I guess I have to jump in to get in. There's no door.

This is the original picture.

That front guard is sexy. My ****ty stock one I scrapped awhile ago, and feel fairly naked with my oil pan just hanging out....especially when my car is as low as it is. I'd definitely be interested in a group buy.

It's been a while since I updated this thread. I've done some more work on it since.

Jspec rear ladder bar. I did the write up, so you can find in suspension forum. It was an interesting project that kept me busy for about a week.

JGY Custom front ladder bar. This ladder bar was highly recommended by AZHitman, so I had to do it. I also did a write up on this. Basically, front and rear ladder bars are copies of Do-Luck stuff.

I had to drop the exhaust system to install rear ladder bar. While it was out, I decided to paint it with 1500 degree engine enamel. I saw cmkelly's exhaust installation pics, and shiny muffler looked good. I'll get an aftermarket exhaust in the future, but not soon though.

Replaced old hangers with Nismo ones. They are soild rubber pieces unlike stock. Some random pics...

.white240.,I didn't get a good response from general 240 crowd. I'll create a thread in vert forum and help you out guys. I'll email the seller and see what he can do for us.
