I was installing a reverse camera for my z32 and I might have short-circuited or something because the car won't turn over. The battery seems fine, I checked the fuse box but I could not find one for the parking light. everything else works except the reverse lights and won't crank.

Thank you :wtf2:

Hmm, did you hear a pop or smell anything when you connected the battery after installing your reverse camera? Is your transmission in park/ neutral? I don't think they start without being there. Is there a brake light switch on your pedal? Does it work? Do you have to push in the brake to start the car (if so and the switch is broken, then no start and no brake lights of course)? You can use the FSM to diagnose this stuff. I think the starter system is pretty isolated, so you could get through that without too much effort I think. If you haven't found the FSM yet... notice that when you hover over the reader part of the window, the top will have a sort of fall down menu appear... there is an arrow pointing down... that's your download option to save the PDF to your device.

I did not smell anything burning. my car was in park, and I never had to press on the brake to start the car. brake light switch is on when I turn on. everything works such as brake lights.
I think I have short-circuited the reverse light.

ISn't the reverse light the one you 'tap' into with your camera setup for power? If so, did you use one of those tap things that clamps on? I forget what it's called. Maybe your clamp cut right through the wire? I'd check that and look for more fuses with the FSM. The reverse lights will have a circuit somewhere in the FSM also and you can look at it's wiring and go from there with a voltmeter.

I taped into the right reverse light but both reverse lights failed to shine. and it won't crank. I checked the fuses and relay all over, even swapped the starter relay. is it possible the car is dead or the ECU is fried? I checked the FSM but all I can think of that is fried is the eco or the Automatic Transmission Inhibitor Switch?

Something is wrong and it's likely related to the work you've been doing, so stick to diagnosing those systems and the starter system. I'm thinking the ACC relay may be one you want to swap with something known to be working. Like you want a few working relays, ACC, Starter, ECU. You can maybe pull the fan relays and stick them into starter and ACC. Fortunately, the ECU is protected by a series of fuses and it is probably fine. The FSM should have a step by step for non starting diagnoses, though I've never looked for that specifically.
