Just got myself a 93' 300zx tt and after doing compression test it will most definitely need a rebuild as expected with 180k+ miles on it. Burning oil and shooting blue smoke so from what I gather(forum research) as well as compression test either burnt valve or bad cylinder(first thing dad mentioned from just revving and hearing the engine  ) and possibly more problems.

Compression Numbers from what I remember(numbers are right just not sure about cylinders)
2 - 120 1 - 110
4 - 0 (blipped a bit) 3 - 80
6 - 90 5 - 120

I haven't done anything besides basic maintenance on my 98' maxima although my dad's done mechanical work in the past and he'll be helping :inout: ... well doing most of the work as I assist him and do any research to facilitate the process.

Well anyways back to the point, we will be pulling the engine(currently in the process) for a rebuild and I am simply looking for a getting a reliable car with basic and preventive maintenance accounted for, as I have read lots on how these cars can be difficult at times. Turbos will likely need to be replaced...or rebuilt, not entirely sure depends upon inspection once they are pulled. Btw car was likely abused by previous owner whom owned it for three years after the original owner, said all he did was regular oil changes  .

Current mods on car from what I could tell:
HKS hi power exhaust
Dual air intake
HKS boost controller
APEXi V-AFC I controller

Anyways any advice would be appreciated, I'll provide more details as I go along and I'm aiming for about 400whp whatever modifications that may entail. Will only be working on it on weekends since I'm going to university away from home but the engine will likely be out by this following weekend when i head back home.

It's also likely the turbos are blown so I'm looking at JWT Sport 500's or if a rebuild would be reliable on current turbos- --> for those of you who have done it(advice??), I may consider that.
