the other day the idle started jumping up and down for about a minute then calmed down to normal. and the next day it wont start.it's acting like it wants to but not getting enough gas.

i tried holding the gas to the floor while starting, tried starting it in neutral.i tried everything i could think of and i cant get it started.i checked all of the fuses and everything is fine

any idea's??i need to get her running asap.. the j30t is my wife's daily driver and needs it to get back and forth to work.

thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to NICO!!!

You live in Mobile, too? Sweet!! Another J30 enthusiast from my hometown!!!

Try pulling the ECU & scan it for codes. Also, check the fuel pump.

Any plans on modding it after you get it fixed?

Aww, shucks!!!

I was hoping of trying to bring a modded J here. If I couldn't do one myself, then I'd encourage someone else to do so.

Did you ever see one around w/a huge wing & fart can out the back? That was the last one to be modded before it went AWOL.

Seriously, since your J is a '93, you should use a ODB 1 reader.

I just replaced my fuel pump, and when start the car I can hear it kick on through the back seat. If you cant hear it from inside the car, open the trunk, the tank sits right between there and the back seat, and there you should be able to hear it.

i will check to see if i hear it in the morning.so if i dont hear it then it's probably the fuel pump?

is there any other things to check before i pull out the ecu and check it?

thanks!
