93 1.8 Runs & Misses bad

93 XE runs great for the first 30 seconds then starts to miss. Misses at idle and does not excel without the bucking and spitting routine.ECU shows no prob during diagnostics checkreplace computer coolant temp sensorfuel pres 47 psiNew plugs cap rotor wiresHaynes manual S***S have new cd rom on the wayTPS and MAF Sensor do not Ohm out according to Haynes but thats where I'm not holding any validity. Any suggestions or other resources would be greatly appreciated. TIA Jim

did you check the timing on engine to make sure its correct? have you tried checking all your vaccum lines?

sounds like a vacuum problem or there may be an obstruction in your intake. check your intake piping for any obstructions. could probably be a bad air filter. try replacing it if u haven't.

93 didnt have a 1.8L, whats your tps voltage at WOT and closed? check the fuel filter.

My Bad. 1.6L GA16DE. The TPS is on my list for today and the Fuel Pres Reg.

After all was said and done, One of the brand new Ignition wires (1 mth old) had broken down. New set of wires runs great. The bright side is I'm now very familiar with all the components and there test proceedures !! Many man hrs spent here and my Haynes Manual shows the distributor turning CW for a 93, Mine turns CC, another aggrivating thing Thanks again for your help....
